Well prepared for the future:
Systems Engineering (Bachelor of Science and Master of Science)
This course of studies is aimed at skilled professionals who can bring in expertise in one specific area as well as general competences in other disciplines of engineering sciences. Systems engineering offers you both: devised as an interdisciplinary course it leads to a practice-oriented qualification in the three basic disciplines (1. electrotechnical engineering/information technologies, 2. computer and information sciences, 3. production engineering/process and mechanical engineering). You will learn how to work on an interdisciplinary basis and how to consider technical systems in a comprehensive way. Furthermore you will acquire specialized knowledge in one or more fields.
This course of studies offers two different degrees:
- Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering (B.Sc.)
Apart from basic interdisciplinary knowledge you will acquire deeper insight into specialized areas such as e.g. robotics, mechatronics, systems software/embedded systems as well as company organisation. Entry requirement is the general university entry qualification. The whole course takes seven semesters. The B.Sc. is a vocationally qualifying degree.
- Master of Science in Systems Engineering (M.Sc.)
This course offers the opportunity for further in-depth specialization. The course contents are structured in a modular way and are rated according to the international credit point system ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). Entry requirements are the B.Sc. in systems engineering or a completed university course (individual examination by the board of examiners. The course of studies takes three semesters and leads to a M.Sc.
First-year students can only apply for the winter semester, advanced students also for summer semesters; prescribed application deadlines: July 15 th or January 15 th respectively.
